Is it Really Linear?

Let’s not confuse linear with sagittal. 

Often athletes will be permitted to do “linear” movement in early rehabilitation. And for most, that’s forward and back - in the sagittal plane. 

So for adductor, gluteal, and oblique injuries (to name a few), is global movement of the body forward and backward truly linear?
