Happy New Year everyone!

It goes without question that this is the time of year when resolutions are made and lives are refreshed. Here is MY version, of which I have entitled:

PROGRESSIONS

  • In 2010, I will get back to the basics and lay myself down a foundation that I can stand strongly upon. I have recently realized that in order to progress into an “expert” in my field, I must truly understand sports medicine and performance at its core.
  • In 2010, I will re-open every single book that I have yet to complete (in its entirety) but had previously started and not leave a single page unturned. I have recently realized that in order to progress to a full comprehension of current and contemporary research, one must possess a strong understanding of concepts at its most basic levels.
  • In 2010, I will endeavour to provide you, the reader, with solid, integrity-based information on this site. With the help of one of Mike Robertson’s recent posts I have recently realized that in order to progress into a well respected professional in this field, one must be able to provide current, consistent, and content-rich information for effective knowledge translation

and lastly

  • In 2010, I will embark on a new journey as a professional and attempt to put together an educational resource pertaining to…wait for it…Progressions! I have recently realized that this is a particular area in both the sport medicine and performance fields that VERY FEW truly understand, and so I will take the initiative to compile the most current, and pertinent information into a concise resource that many can enjoy and learn from.
