I agree 100% that it is but one tool in the the tool box. Much like the agility ladder, it is simply a means to facilitate learning of the low intensity stretch shortening cycle that many runners have yet to possess.

Since we&#039;re in the same area, we should get together sometime and talk shop!</description>

		<description>I&#039;ve trained a number of runners and triathletes, and although jump rope is great at developing their elastic ability, a lot of the movement pattern is extremely similar to running, and the necessary range of motion through the legs to produce noticeable gains in run performance or in cycling. Agreed the swim stroke would be improved, however the upright torso is negated by the fact that swimmers have to have their torso constantly rolling from left to right in order to facilitate the optimum balance of leg kick, pull and torque to produce a powerful stroke. Jump rope is a great tool, but it&#039;s just one tool in the tool box for a triathlete, much like 1-leg squats or dumbell pullovers.</description>
